May River

It’s amazing how there’s so much of America there is to discover. Last year we had the opportunity to stay at the wonderful Montage Palmetto Bluff.  This property offers numerous activities ideal for bike-riding kids.

Getting around the large property is best via bicycle; and given that there are crocodiles dozing on the docks, it’s best to have either very small non-mobile children or very capable bike-riding children. The in-between age might be a little bit tricky with the access to water and the distances to cover.

Outside of the main hotel, there are also these fantastic little cottages throughout the property which is where we stayed. It’s stunning, it’s southern, and it has a startling mix of wildlife and fun activities like paddle boarding and boating. If you’re lucky, you might catch the pink dolphins playing in the May River.
